on Demand Manufacturing

From prototyping to serial production

3D printing

3D printing is one of the fastest and most cost-effective methods available for the iterative design, prototyping, and production of custom parts with ShapeAxis. Rather than the material being removed from stock, as historically done with subtractive manufacturing processes such as CNC machining or Injection molding, 3D printing works by repeatedly layering small amounts of plastic to build a design from the ground up. This is done by providing the 3D printers with a three-dimensional digital design file, commonly referred to as a computer-aided design (CAD) file. Once you have a CAD file for your design, there are a number of different 3D printing methods that can be used to create your parts. ShapeAxis uses industrial additive manufacturing to print parts in a Metal, variety of engineered polymers, from transparent prototypes up to flame retardant plastics used in aerospace. We offer SLS, FDM, DLP ans SLM method to produce parts.

Whether for CNC machining, 3D printing or drawing derivation, with our broad portfolio of CAD systems we can provide you with the 3D and 2D data according to your application and in all common market formats. This means you can import the data directly into your in-house system without any complex conversion or loss of properties. As part of our CAD service, we also take on very complex drawings for you. Regardless of whether existing drawings are only to be adapted or comprehensive production drawings are to be created for new designs.

CAD Designing

Building a successful product is about much more than using the latest technology to create your solution. Future user vulnerabilities and market fit are just some of the key challenges that need to be addressed before launch. ShapeAxis take a holistic approach to product development, and we offer our services at every stage. Our end-to-end product development approach allows you to: Turn your product idea into reality with the support of tech experts A product-oriented mindset and transparent collaboration from day one Effective design and development practices with a constant focus on adding value Ensuring consistency of development and alignment of product vision Cross-functional Product Team – to build the right product in the right way
